Chuck Foster plays ska, rocksteady, reggae, dub, roots and dancehall, drawn from one of the largest collections in the U.S. From vintage 7" singles to the latest Jamaican chart hits, Reggae Central celebrates the classics and keeps you up to date on current releases and concert information. Live guests over the years include Burning Spear, The Mighty Diamonds, Lutan Fyah, The Wailing Souls, Matisyahu, Etana, Dennis Alcapone, Ranking Joe, Katchafire and many more. Among those interviwed are many greats who are no longer with us such as Dennis Brown, Mikey Dread, Joe Higgs, Phyllis Dillon, Joseph "Culture" Hill, Lucky Dube and Alton Ellis.

Chuck wrote the Reggae Update column for Beat Magazine for two decades, currently pens the Reading and Reasonings column for the annual Reggae Festival Guide and is the author of Author of Roots, Rock, Reggae: An Oral History of Reggae Music From Ska to Dancehall on Billboard Books and The Small Axe Guide to Rock Steady (Muzik Tree, 2009).
